New Delhi: Spain substitute Andres Iniesta cracked a superb winner as they beat a toothless England 1-0 in their international friendly at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The friendly was played to prepare both sides for next month's Euro 2008 qualifiers.
Iniesta decided the game with a dipping shot from outside the area in the 63rd minute.
England also had some scoring chances, one of which was missed by Peter Crouch towards the end of the first half.
The defeat marks yet another disappointment for England coach Steve McClaren, whose Euro qualifying campaign in Group E has been hit by a home draw with Macedonia and a defeat in Croatia.
