Madrid: Real Madrid is Santos forward Neymar's preferred destination, his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has revealed.
The young sensation's representative revealed earlier this week that Barcelona and Real Madrid were both vying to sign his client, who has a 45 million euros release clause.
Santos coach Muricy Ramalho publicly suggested on Thursday that the La Liga champions would be a better destination for Neymar, considering the player's attributes, but the 19-year-old has set his heart on joining the Spanish capital club.
"The boy's preference right now is Real Madrid," Ribeiro told EFE.
The agent reiterated that Neymar does not want to move away from Santos before the Club World Cup in December, and if Real Madrid agrees to it, then the player will join the Copa Del Rey winners.
"We are not talking about economical matters, there is no problem with that," he added. "We have to see what is best for the boy, who wants to fulfill two dreams: the first one is to be a world champion with Santos and make history and the second one is to play for Real Madrid.
"The ideal situation is that Neymar stays until January at Santos and, if Real Madrid accepts it, we are willing to sign a contract. And in January he will move to Madrid."
