Napoli, Liverpool confirm Jackson Martinez interest

Napoli and Liverpool have showed their interest in Porto striker Jackson Martinez.

Liverpool are keenly interested in Martinez with Brendan Rogers seeing him as an ideal replacement for Luis Suarez.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed on Twitter that Martinez was a player the club would welcome but insisted the decision will ultimately be up to manager Rafa Benitez.

"With regards to another forward, we have to analyse the strength and the quality of the players that we have with boss Rafael Benitez," De Laurentiis wrote.

"The addition could be Martinez or it could be a lot of other players. Benitez will make the decision."
