Johannesburg: Germany's Thomas Mueller was on Sunday announced as the winner of the Golden Boot, while Uruguay's Diego Forlan took home the Golden Ball and Spain's captain Iker Csillas added the Golden Glove award to the World Cup 2010 trophy.

Mueller, Spain's Villa, the Netherlands' Sneijder and Uruguay's Diego Forlan each scored five goals but the 20-year-old German led the tiebreaker with the most assists.

He assisted his teammates to score three times, while the others had one assist apiece. This was Mueller's first ever World Cup and he helped Germany finish third on Saturday after beating Uruguay 3-2 in playoffs.

This is also Mueller's second award in this edition of the World Cup, having been crowed the best young player earlier.

Uruguay's striker Forlan was awarded the Golden Ball for making such an impact for his country with five goals and many match-winning performances.

Meanwhile, Casillas, the Real Madrid shot-stopper conceded only two goals all tournament, the first coming in a shock 1-0 defeat to Switzerland in Spain's first group game, but went on to keep clean sheets in all of his games apart from the 2-1 group win over Chile.
