London: Roberto Soldado converted a late penalty to give Tottenham a 1-0 win over Hull in the Premier League on Sunday after Spurs had been frustrated by the visitors for much of the afternoon.
Hull defended well at White Hart Lane and limited Spurs' opportunities before Soldado coolly slotted home his third match-winning penalty of the season in the 80th minute to move Tottenham back into the top four. The penalty came after Ahmed Elmohamady was adjudged to have handled Jan Vertonghen's cross from the edge of the box.
Hull substitute Robbie Brady hit a set piece straight at goalkeeper Hugo Lloris before Tom Huddlestone arrowed an injury-time free kick wide of the goal as Tottenham held on.
Also, Swansea held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham United.
