As they embark on a new journey, celebrity couple Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram’s pre-wedding festivities commenced with a temple visit in Imphal, Manipur. Randeep and Lin are all set to tie the knot on November 29 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.

Lin who hails from Manipur looked ethereal as she adorned a custom-made silk Inaphee (dupatta) in magenta pink with Lamthang Khuthat motifs, which is mainly used in traditional Manipuri Inaphee’s. She paired it with a Phanek Mayek Naibi (wrap-around) in magenta pink which also featured a rose motif at the bottom.

The vibrant silk ensemble came with a matching blouse. Designed by Manipur-based fashion designer Arbin Tonjam, the ensemble was designed keeping in mind Lin’s love for simple designs. Her fresh and flawless makeup was done by Jony Haobijam, which complemented Lin’s charming personality.

Speaking to News18 exclusively, Arbin Tonjam shares, “The Inaphee and Phanek were customised for Lin [Laishram] in bright colours since in our culture, the colours pink, red, and yellow are considered as good luck for new beginnings. It took me 40-50 days to complete these two sets. The silk magenta pink blouse was kept simple as our bride [Lin] loves simple designs.”

Randeep Hooda who stood by his bride-to-be looked dapper in a traditional kurta pyjama set, designed by Arbin Tonjam and Wangkhei Phee Mantri. He paired the embroidered silk kurta set with a traditional stole with motifs. Capturing their special moment at the Shree Govindajee Temple in Imphal was photographer Pandiraj Khangembam.

Randeep and Lin announced that they were tying the knot recently on Instagram, with a heartfelt note, which read as: Taking a leaf out of Mahabharata where Arjuna married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, we are getting married with the blessings from our families and friends. We are filled with immense joy to share that our marriage will take place on the 29th Of November 2023, in Imphal, Manipur, followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we set to embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful. In love and light, Lin and Randeep,” they noted.

While the pre-wedding festivities have begun, we can’t wait to see what Randeep and Lin will be adorning on their Big Day!
