Hollywood actor Owen Teague opened up about Andy Serkis’ reaction to ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha. For the unversed, Serkis played the iconic role of Caesar in three Planet of the Apes movies — Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). Although Serkis will not be featured in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, he has served as a consultant on the film.
The actor also attended the London premiere of the film last month and posed with Teague on the red carpet. Days after the film’s premiere, Teague revealed that Serkis sent him an email after the premiere and described it as one of the ‘best emails’ he has ever received. “He emailed me after he watched the film. It was the best emails I have ever received. I won’t say what it said but it was really lovely of him. He was so complimentary of the film and of the entire cast. He said please tell the cast this, I think he was really impressed which means a lot to me personally,” Teague told us exclusively.
When asked if the email featured any criticism, Teague said, “He didn’t give me advice for next time but honestly, if we make another one, I hope he does (give me critical feedback) because he’s the guy!”
