Today, we’re sharing the remarkable story of an individual from Siwan district, Bihar, whose accomplishments are making headlines across the region. Meet Flying Officer Ankesh Kumar Singh. From his humble beginnings as a Sub Inspector, he transitioned to the rank of Flying Officer.
Ankesh Kumar Singh, hailing from Guthni Bazar, Siwan, and son of Brijbhan Singh, has been appointed as a Flying Officer in the Air Force. Securing the 78th rank nationwide, his family feels proud of his accomplishment, particularly considering his previous role as a Sub Inspector.
He finished his high school at Modern Mission Public School, Guthni, Siwan, and completed his intermediate studies at Adarsh Vikas Vidyalaya, Guthni. After passing the JE exam in 2016 and earning a B. Tech degree in 2020, he started preparing for the Air Force. He took the Air Force examination on August 5, 2023, and the results were recently announced.
Inspired by his father’s service as an Inspector (SI) at Hathua police station in Gopalganj, Ankesh Kumar initially pursued a career as an Inspector himself. Succeeding on his first attempt, he became an SI. However, driven by a profound aspiration to serve his country in the army, Ankesh later decided to pursue a different path. Passing the exam on his first try, he achieved his goal of becoming a Flying Officer.
Ankesh Kumar shared his happiness, saying that his hard work, focus, and determination led to his success. In an interview with Local 18, he acknowledged the support of his father and the blessings of his mother for his achievement. Ankesh, who has two sisters and two brothers, is the older of the two brothers.
Likewise, earlier employed as a Senior Engineering Officer at Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, Sonal transitioned to a role at the Gas Authority of India (GAIL) for a period. However, driven by his passion, he shifted his focus to preparing and training for a career in the Indian Air Force. Sonal Raj now proudly serves as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force.
