SSC Announces Recruitment Drive For Sub-Inspectors In Delhi Police And CAPF
Last year, 1776 vacant posts of sub-inspector were filled by the Delhi Police and CAPF. The number of vacant posts has remained the same for this year as well.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) issued the notification PDF on February 15 for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2024. The vacancies for the sub-inspector posts, numbering 1776, remain unchanged from the previous year in both the Delhi Police and CAPF. Interested candidates are required to apply for these positions through the official website, www.sscnic.in, with the deadline for application submission set for March 14, 2024. Notably, applications will only be accepted online.

For those intending to apply, the process is outlined as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website, ssc.nic.in.

Step 2: Select ‘Apply Online.’

Step 3: Register before proceeding to the online application form.

Step 4: Provide accurate information in the application form, upload necessary documents and complete the application fee payment.

Step 5: Click on ‘Submit.’

Step 6: Retain a printed copy of the application form for future reference.

To be eligible for consideration for the sub-inspector roles in the Delhi Police and CAPF, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and fall within the age range of 20 to 25 years. Relaxations in the upper age limit are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories, with OBC candidates eligible for a 3-year relaxation and SC/ST candidates eligible for a 5-year relaxation.

The selection process for the SSC CPO 2024 recruitment consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Paper 1 (Objective Type)

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Stage 3: Paper 2 (Descriptive)

Stage 4: Medical Examination

Physical parameters have been set for male and female candidates. Male candidates are required to have a height of 170 cm and a chest measurement of 80–85 cm, with variations for ST category candidates. Female candidates should have a minimum height of 157 cm, with adjustments for those from the ST category.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) includes specific requirements such as running distances, long jump, high jump, and shot put for male candidates, while female candidates have their own set of criteria to fulfil.
