The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the JEE Main 2024 Session 1, revealing interesting insights into the performance of candidates across different states. Telangana emerged with the highest number of candidates scoring 100 percentile, followed by Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. Additionally, the agency disclosed a list of 53 state-wise toppers, among whom 23 students achieved a perfect score of 100 percentile. Ipsit Mittal, one of these high achievers, shared his journey and strategies in an interview with Times Now.
Speaking about his preparation strategy, Ipsit highlighted the significance of diligently following the guidance provided by teachers and seniors. He emphasised the importance of self-study and revision, stating that spending time revising concepts and solving questions independently proved to be invaluable. Ipsit stressed the necessity of extensive reading of NCERT textbooks and regular practice with mock papers, especially in the lead-up to the exams. He revealed that he dedicated himself to solving 1-2 mock papers daily, a month before the exam, which contributed significantly to his success. Ipsit emphasised how solving mock papers aids in identifying weaknesses and refining time management skills.
Expressing his aspirations, Ipsit shared his dream of becoming an IIT student, inspired by a visit to the IIT Delhi Campus during his 7th standard. He attributed his motivation to his Tauji (uncle) and father, whom he admired for their hard work and dedication. Ipsit also drew inspiration from the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant, whose interviews served as a source of motivation during study breaks.
Notably, Ipsit Mittal’s mother is a mathematician and author of several books on the subject. Currently, Ipsit is gearing up for the JEE Advanced 2024 examination, demonstrating his continued commitment to academic excellence.
