The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the advance intimation slip for the allotment of examination city for the Patents and Designs Examiner recruitment 2023. Candidates who appeared for the Phase 1 preliminary exam can now go to the official website of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade recruitment at exams.nta.ac.in/DPIIT and check the exam city slip.

Candidates can access their Examination City Intimation slip of Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) by entering their Application No. and Date of Birth on the portal. Under this recruitment drive, the organisation is aiming to fill 553 vacancies for the post of Examiner of Patents and Designs.

“The candidates are required to check and download their Examination City Intimation slip of Mains Examination (Paper I and Paper II) i.e. Phase 2 for the Post of Examiner of Patents and Designs (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) from the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/DPIIT and https://nta.ac.in w.e.f. 15 January 2024 and go through the instructions contained therein,” reads the official notification by the National Testing Agency.

Patents and Designs Examiner Recruitment 2023: Phase II Exam Details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Examiner of Patents and Designs Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2 for various disciplines on January 25. Over 89,657 candidates took the preliminary exam for the recruitment process at 260 centres located in 103 cities around the country on December 21, 2023. Candidates who qualified for the preliminary test (phase 1) are entitled to take the main examination (papers I and 2).

The Mains Paper-I will take place as a computer-based test (CBT), whereas the Mains Paper-II will be a descriptive test in 14 different disciplines. Paper 1 will be administered during the morning shift while Mains Paper II will be held in the second shift on the same day. The examination encompasses a diverse range of subjects and is designed to assess candidates across these disciplines.

Paper 1 will comprise 100 points and will be conducted for a duration of two hours. Paper 2 will be worth 300 points and candidates will be provided three hours to complete the paper.

As per the recruitment notice, this campaign aims to fill vacancies in General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) post. These positions are in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, and selected candidates can expect a salary ranging between Rs 56,100 and Rs 1,77,500.
