The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the highly anticipated NEET-UG exam revised final results on Friday, July 26. The number of NEEt-UG toppers dropped to 17 from the 61 announced in the previous revised results. The total number of qualified candidates now stands at 1,315,853, a slight decrease of 415. Uttar Pradesh led the pack with over 165,000 qualifiers, followed by Maharashtra (142,000) and Rajasthan (121,000). Karnataka (88,887) and Kerala (86,713) also had over 85,000 qualifiers each. The candidate will now be getting ready for counselling. In such a situation, take a look at the top medical colleges in India. Two of these medical colleges are from Uttar Pradesh. Only one of them offers a bachelor’s degree like MBBS. The other one takes admission in post-graduation i.e. courses like MD.
As per the NIRF Rankings 2023, AIIMS Delhi remains at the top spot followed by the PGMIER, Chandigarh. However, there are some changes including the fall of Banarasi Hindu University from fifth position to eighth.

King George Medical University (KGMU) is also one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the country. According to NIRF Ranking 2023, it has an all-India rank of 12th. This medical university also offers many diploma and certificate courses like MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BSc Radiotherapy, MD, MS, MPhil, MSc Nursing, DM, MCH, MHA and MHPE courses. It was established in the year 1905.
Admission Process- Admission in courses like MBBS and BDS at KGMU is done based on NEET UG score.
Aligarh Muslim University
Aligarh Muslim University offers MBBS and BDS courses at its Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. It was established in the year 1962. AMU ranks 28th in the NIRF Ranking 2023 among the top medical colleges in the country. Admission is done based on the NEET UG Score.
