As per the schedule, the end-of-session exam will begin on March 6. While the Class 5 board examinations end on March 13, the Class 8 board exams will continue until March 14

The Madhya Pradesh Board of School Education (MPBSE) has released the timetable for Classes 5 and 8 annual exams this year. As per the schedule, the end-of-session exam will begin on March 6. While the Class 5 board examinations end on March 13, the Class 8 board exams will continue until March 14, 2024. Students can check the Class 5, 8 MP Board Time Table 2024 at educationportal.mp.gov.in.

MP Board Class 5 and 8 exams will be held for 2.5 hours from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Both the Class 5 and Class 8 board exams in 2024 will begin with papers in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Marathi. MPBSE class 5 examinations will end with papers on extra languages, whereas MPBSE 8th exams will conclude with a paper on social science. The board reminded students that if they choose Urdu or Marathi as their first language, they must also choose English as their second language and Hindi as their third language. Furthermore, even if a holiday is declared on the exam days, the board exams will be held as scheduled.

March 6, 2024- Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi

March 7, 2024- Mathematics or Music

March 11, 2024- Second language

March 12, 2024- Environmental Science

March 13, 2024- Additional language (Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit)

Exam Dates For MP Board Class 8:

March 6, 2024- Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi

March 7, 2024- Mathematics, Music(for visually impaired)

March 11, 2024- Second Language

March 12, 2024- Science

March 13, 2024- Third Language (Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, or Gujarati Or Painting (For deaf and dumb)

March 14, 2024- Social Science

Last year the results of the Class 5 and 8 annual exams were announced in May with some students failing due to non-entry of scores and some also receiving failing grades in more than one subject. Reportedly, about five lakh answer papers from 3,89,764 students were re-evaluated. According to the department, schools were also given a window to submit project marks. Over 44,293 Class 5 students and 44,752 Class 8 students qualified. The average pass percentage increased from 76.09 per cent to 80.29 per cent for class 8 and for class 5, the pass percentage was86.02, up from the previous 82.27 per cent.
