Registration for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling 2024 is now open to JEE Mains and JEE Advanced qualified students. On June 10, JoSAA started accepting online submissions for the 2024 counselling process. The JoSAA 2024 seat distribution process will be conducted by the authority in five rounds this year. The seat matrix is available on the official JoSAA counselling website, josaa.nic.in, for candidates who are currently registering.
IIT seats have increased significantly, according to the JoSAA 2024 seat matrix, which was released on June 12. There will be 17,740 seats available for the JoSAA counselling this year. The official data indicates an increase of 355 IIT seats. IIT Bhubaneswar has added 20 seats, IIT Bombay has added 12 seats, Kharagpur has 30 seats, Jodhpur has 50 seats, Gandhinagar has 30 seats, Patna has 84 seats, Guwahati has 10 seats, Bhilai has 40, Tirupati has 10 seats, and Dharwad has 75. The total number of seats at IITs in 2023 was 17385.
