NIRF ranking 2024 has been released by the central government. In this ranking, a list of universities to colleges has been released, in which a list of many categories, including medical and engineering, has been declared. It includes colleges and universities across the country. Let us see which institutions of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have received a place in the NIRF ranking. As per the NIRF ranking list 2024, only two universities from UP have found a place in the top 10 universities released in the NIRF rankings. Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh, has been placed at number five in this list, while Aligarh Muslim University has been ranked eighth. Only these two universities from UP have found a place in the NIRF rankings.
In Bihar, no university has found a place in the top 10. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore is at the top of the list of top universities, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, at number two. Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, is at number three. Manipal Academy of Higher Education Manipal has been ranked fourth. Similarly, the University of Delhi (DU), New Delhi, is in sixth place, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Coimbatore, is in seventh place, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, is in ninth place, and Vellore University of Technology, Vellore, is ranked in the tenth position.
UP-Bihar is not in the top 10 colleges of the country:
The list of top 10 colleges given in the NIRF ranking does not include a single college from UP and Bihar. 6 colleges in it are from Delhi only. Apart from this, the remaining four are from Kolkata, Coimbatore, and Chennai. Out of these, two colleges are from Kolkata. The first name in this list is Hindu College, Delhi. After this, the names of Miranda House (Delhi), St Stephen’s College (Delhi), Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College (Kolkata), Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (Delhi), St Xavier’s College (Kolkata), PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Coimbatore), Loyola College (Chennai), Kirori Mal College (Delhi) and Lady Shri Ram College for Women (Delhi) are on the list.
