The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has already announced the Round 2 seat allotment result for the Bihar Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling (Bihar UGEAC) 2024. All the candidates who applied for the counselling process can check the seat allotment result through the official website: bcece.admissions.nic.in.
As per the schedule, candidates will able to download their seat allotment letter by August 12 and the document verification process for Round 2 began on August 10 and will conclude on August 12. Seats will be assigned based on the UGEAC merit list, the candidate’s preference and availability.
There has always been a huge craze for students to get into government engineering colleges. Even if this is the case, the seats in the government engineering colleges of Bihar are not getting filled. So far, only 46 per cent of students have been admitted after the Round 2 seat allotment and more than half of the seats are vacant.
As per the instructions issued by the Science and Technical Education Department, this time, there will be no mop-up round counselling for admission to engineering colleges of Bihar. Online counselling will be conducted twice by the Bihar Joint Entrance Examination Board based on the JEE Mains merit list. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has said that it has been decided to fill the remaining seats in engineering colleges with candidates of PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Math) group based on the combined merit list of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECEB) 2024. Online counselling is to be done as per merit-cum-choice from the PCM group. Choice filling for the admission of the vacant seats will be done by September 23.
The Bihar Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling, managed by BCECEB, is a process through which students are admitted to undergraduate engineering programs in various colleges across Bihar. Candidates must keep visiting the official website for new updates.
