Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways thanks to a stunning century from Suryakumar Yadav in what was an impressive show from the five-time champions against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday night.
However, the contest wasn’t a happy occasion for MI superstar Rohit Sharma whose poor form with the bat continued. Opening the innings at the Wankhede Stadium, he only managed four runs before becoming Pat Cummins’ only victim of the contest.
Later, a clip of the former MI skipper began doing the rounds on social media purportedly showing him dejected with a few even going to the extent to claim that he was ‘crying’.

While it’s not clear from the short clip that Rohit was indeed crying or for that matter showing any emotions at all, users on social media were quick to pick on that and began speculating that his “reaction” has to do with his slump in form for MI.
Since his unbeaten century against Chennai Super Kings in April, Rohit has managed 69 runs in his next six innings indicating he’s out of form.

Thrice in those six innings, he has been dismissed for scores in single digits and it’s not just concerning for MI who will need a remarkable turnaround and favourable outcomes to ensure a playoffs spot but also for the Indian cricket team which will be taking part in the T20 World Cup next month.
Rohit has been named captain of the 15-man squad that will fly down to USA for the group stage of the T20 showpiece. India have been grouped alongside Pakistan, Ireland, USA and Canada and will play their first match of the competition on June 5.
Assuming that MI not make it to the playoffs, Rohit has just two more games to get back in form and gain some much needed confidence ahead of the world cup.
