Star Pacer Jasprit Bumrah Marks Presence in Dubai to Support Harmanpreet Kaur & Co vs Pakistan
The Indian men's team star pacer Bumrah was present at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to support the women in blue during their win over their arch-rivals.

The Indian women’s cricket team posted a 6-wicket win over neighbours Pakistan at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Dubai, UAE on Sunday to claim their first win of the campaign.

The Indian men’s team star pacer Jasprit Bumrah was present at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to support the omen in blue during their win over their arch-rivals.

India were put to bowl first by Pakistan, who won the toss, and struck early through Renuka Thakur’s scalp of Gull Feroza in the very first over of the game for a duck.

Deepti Sharma removed Sidra Ameen for 8 runs before Arundhati Reddy dismissed Omaima Sohail for 3 runs.

Shreyanka Patil scalped Muneeba Ali for 17 runs, before Aliya Riaz fell to Reddy for the Indian’s second scalp of the day. Spinner Asha Sobana dismissed opposition skipper Fatima Sana, before Shreyanka doubled her tally with the scalp of Tuba Hassan.

Reddy completed her three-wicket haul with the dismissal of Nima Dar, who top-scored for Pakistan with 28 runs and gave the batter a fiery send-off to the hut.

Syeda Arooba Shah and Nashra Sandhu remained unbeaten at 14 and 6 runs respectively to take Pakistan to a total of 105 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Indian began their chase in a rather slow fashion as Smriti Mandhana was the first wicket to fall for just 7 runs off the 16 deliveries she faced. Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues added a 43-run stand for the second wicket before the opener was scalped by Sohail for 32 off 35.

Rodrigues added 23 runs to the scoreboard before falling to Sana, who doubled her tally in the very next delivery with the dismissal of Richa Ghosh for a duck.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who added 29 runs off 24 deliveries retired hurt, before Deepti Sharma and Sanjeevan Sajana put the finishing touches on the game to take the Indian women over the line to victory.
