Musheer Khan continues to shine in the ongoing Under-19 World Cup 2024 with yet another century. On Tuesday, the 18-year-old batter from Mumbai scored his second hundred in the tournament as India locked horns with New Zealand at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein. The right-hander scored 131 and struck 3 sixes and 13 boundaries during his 126-ball stay in the middle.
Musheer is now only the second Indian batter after Shikhar Dhawan to score two tons in the Under-19 World Cups. The latter had notched up three tons in the 2004 edition of the tournament and ended as the highest scorer, accumulating 505 runs in 7 innings at an average of 84.16.

The Mumbai batter has been on a phenomenal run in the tournament so far. Though he got out cheaply in India’s campaign opener against Bangladesh, he bounced with a blistering ton against Ireland in the next game. Musheer blasted 118 off just 106 deliveries, with the help of 9 boundaries and 4 sixes, striking at 111.32.
He missed out on a second consecutive hundred when India squared off against the United States. Batting on 73, he lost his wicket to Rishi Ramesh in the 36th over of the innings.
Highest Run-getter for India
Musheer has been the top scorer for India in the ongoing Youth World Cup and the knock of 131 on Tuesday took him to the top of the table of the highest run-getters overall. So far, the 18-year-old has accumulated 325 runs in 4 innings including 2 hundreds and a fifty.
