India vs Bangladesh on June 1: Warm-up Fixtures Announced for 2024 T20 World Cup
Teams in the T20 World Cup can choose to play up to two warm-up matches, depending on their arrival time at the event.

The Indian men’s cricket team are slated to take on Bangladesh in the 2024 T20 World Cup warm-up match, the fixtures for which were announced on Thursday.

With the IPL 2024 to conclude by May 26 and Indian players reportedly leaving for the USA in two batches, the BCCI wanted both the warmups in New York to avoid fatigue due to travel.

India will kickstart their world cup campaign on June 5 when they take on Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. The former champions have been grouped alongside Pakistan, Ireland, USA and Canada.

The 2024 T20 World Cup warm-up matches have been scheduled from Monday, 27 May to Saturday, 1 June across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. The venues hosting the 16 warm-up matches ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 include Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

A total of 17 teams play the warm-up games, including South Africa, who are playing an intra-squad on the 29th in Florida.

These warm-up fixtures will be 20 overs per side and will not have international T20 status, allowing teams to field all members of their 15-player squad.

In a departure from the previous cycle, teams can now choose to play up to two warm-up matches, depending on their arrival time at the event.
