India A Beat Shreyas Iyer's India D By 186 Runs in Duleep Trophy 2024
India A beat India D by 186 runs on Sunday (September 15) in Match No. 3 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 played in Anantapur.

Mayank Agarwal-led India A beat Shreyas Iyer’s India C by 186 runs in match No. 3 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 on Sunday (September 15). On the fourth and final day of the match, which was played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur, India D could only manage to score 301 runs in the fourth inning. Ricky Bhui top-scored for them by amassing a total of 113 runs from 195 runs, whereas captain Iyer smashed 41 runs from 55 balls.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson also impressed with his batting and hammered 40 runs from 45 balls with the help of three fours and as many sixes, but all of it went into vain as India D still failed to save itself from losing the second match in a row.

For India A, Shams Mulani picked up three wickets for 117 runs in 29 overs, and his teammate Tanush Kotian dismissed four batters for 73 runs in his quota of 21 overs.

The win over India D was India A’s first win in two matches played so far, and they are in No. 3 position.

For his super show with the bat and ball in the match, Mulani won the Player of the Match award.

The Mumbai-based cricketer had scored 89 runs in the first inning and picked up one wicket. Tanush also scored fifty (53) in the first India A.

In the third match, India A will now face table-toppers India C, whereas India D will face Abhimanyu Easwaran’s India B.
