Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is having a great time in the US. He recently dropped a couple of pictures on social media where the youngster could be seen exploring the streets of New York. Jaiswal was captured taking a stroll in Garden City.
After the post surfaced on Instagram, Suryakumar Yadav jumped into the comments section and dropped a hilarious remark, referring to the viral ‘garden’ comment by Rohit Sharma. He wrote, “ “Sambhal ke. Garden me ghoomega tho pata hai na (Be careful. You know the consequence of strolling in the garden.)” A quick recap — during the England Test in Vizag earlier this year, Rohit Sharma used the word “garden” while giving on-field instructions to his fielders. “Koi bhi garden ghoomta nhi dikhna chahiye (No one should stroll in the garden),” Rohit was heard saying on the stump mic.
Ravindra Jadeja also reacted to the post. Highlighting Jaiswal’s cool looks, he commented, “Jawaan.” Some fans also referred to the remark by Rohit Sharma. A fan said, “Garden me ghuma mat bhai, Rohit captain hain. (Don’t stroll in the garden brother. Rohit is the captain).”

After the five-match Test series against England, Rohit had shared a picture with the young members of the team– Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel. Going by the social media trend, Rohit branded the youngsters as “garden me ghoomne wale bande (Boys who stroll in the garden).”

Rohit Sharma is also well aware of the popularity of his “garden” comment. He earlier addressed the topic during an interview after the England series. He said, “I enjoyed handling these guys. They enjoyed it as well. Sometimes I say things that get picked up by the microphone. But that’s just me. That’s how I am. Not to hurt anyone, but to ensure they remember they have a job. That is what this whole thing is all about, where I am telling them nobody is going to slack off here.”
