BCCI secretary Jay Shah also discussed the new domestic structure with the state associations and sought feedback on the plan which would be reviewed after the 2024-25 season. The Indian cricket board recently made some changes to the domestic structure and they were suggested by NCA Head of Cricket Mr. VVS Laxman, Team India (Senior Men) Head Coach Mr. Rahul Dravid, and Chairman of the Senior Selection Committee Mr. Ajit Agarkar.

“I am glad that we organised a meeting with the state associations. It is always good to exchange views on Indian cricket with our key stakeholders – the member state associations. It was a constructive dialogue on issues that concern Indian cricket, and I am pleased with the contributions from the state associations,” says Shah.

Work is currently underway in full swing at the new Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and it is likely to be inaugurated in a couple of months. Shah updated the state associations on the progress made in Bengaluru and the multiple indoor academies in north-eastern states.

“The new NCA in Bengaluru and the multiple indoor academies in the north-eastern states of the country are extremely close to our heart. We are extremely proud of the progress we have seen so far, and today we shared the same with our member associations,” says Shah.
