The lineup includes Sivakarthikeyan starrer Ayalaan, Sundar C’s Aranmanai 4 featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashi Khanna, Dhanush’s highly-anticipated film Captain Miller, and Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial venture Lal Salaam. Lyca Productions, the film’s production house, took to social media to officially reconfirm the release date of Lal Salaam. In a tweet accompanied by a poster, they stated, “As we put the final touches in post-production, we would like to affirm Lal Salaam is coming to screens this PONGAL 2024, Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada! In Cinemas PONGAL 2024 Worldwide.”

The film is dubbed a sports drama, stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in leading roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo appearance. Lal Salaam marks Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s return to the director’s chair after an eight-year hiatus. Renowned musician AR Rahman is lending his musical expertise to the film, and the distribution rights have been secured by actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin’s banner, Red Giant Movies.

This affirmation from the Lal Salaam team comes on the heels of Captain Miller unveiling its first single, Killer Killer Sung by Dhanush, with music by GV Prakash Kumar and lyrics by Kaber Vasuki, the song has added to the growing excitement surrounding the film.
