Siddharth Suryanarayan, aka, Siddharth, is an Indian actor who is known for his works in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industry. Recently, he was seen in the movie Chithha, which hit the theatres on September 28, 2023, and opened to a great response from the audience. Within a week of its release, the movie collected Rs 16 crore.
The Chithha team has received a positive response from the critics and audience alike. Apart from being cast as the lead actor, Siddharth has also bankrolled the highly intense family drama. Recently, the actor was spotted enjoying his recent release Chithha with his fans at the Sri Sakthi Theatre complex in Tirupur district in Tamil Nadu and he also posed with his fans for photos.
In a media interaction, he expressed his happiness and said, “This is my dream film in my life. I see this as my first film. My fans have given a great response to this film.” He added, “It has been a huge hit for our team. We are indebted to our team who worked for this. We also owe it to the people of Tamil Nadu. After so many years, I have to thank my fans who have nurtured me on screen.”
Previously, when Siddharth was promoting Chittha’s Telugu version titled Chinna in Hyderabad, he became emotional and revealed that no Telugu distributor was ready to buy Chithha even though the movie was supposed to hit the theatres at the same time as the Tamil version on September 28.
While talking to the press there, he said, “Leading Tamil distribution house Red Giant Movies by Udhayanidhi Stalin, top Kerala distribution house Sree Gokulam Cinemas and KGF movie’s production house- Hombale Films watched my film and told me that they have never seen a film like Chittha and bought the distribution rights.” He further said that some Telugu distributors questioned, “Who will come to watch Siddharth’s movies?”
Chithha movie is directed by SU Arun Kumar and also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Sahasra Sree and Anjali Nair in important roles. The movie is backed by Etaki Entertainment under the Bommarillu actor’s home banner.
