Jet launches direct flights to Singapore
Jet Airways on Wednesday launched a new international flight linking New Delhi with Singapore.

New Delhi: Jet Airways on Wednesday launched a new international flight linking New Delhi with Singapore, making it the first Indian carrier to provide three direct services between Singapore and the etro cities of Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.

The daily service will be operated with new generation B737-800 aircraft. Flight 9W 018 will depart from Delhi at 0835 hrs, IST and reach Singapore's Changi airport at 1650 hrs, IST. On the return leg, flight 9W 017 will depart from Singapore at 2300 hrs, IST and arrive in Delhi at 0215 hrs, IST the next day.

This direct service to Singapore will be the third direct non-stop flight operated by Jet Airways from India to Singapore. The airline already operates daily direct flights from Chennai and Mumbai to Singapore.

As part of its inaugural offer, the airline has introduced a special economy class inaugural return airfare of Rs 10,000. Normal economy class return airfares range from Rs 14,500 to Rs 31,655, while business class fares range from Rs 48,400 to Rs 61,235 exclusive of taxes.

Following the recent code share agreement reached with Qantas Airlines, the new service will offer passengers seamless travel on the India-Australia route with daily connections to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth via Singapore.

In addition to Perth gaining a daily code share connection to Mumbai, Qantas frequent flyer members can also earn code share services following the introduction of this new link. Qantas presently operates thrice weekly Airbus A330-300 service between Sydney and Mumbai.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 44 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, three Airbus A340-300E aircraft, one Airbus A330-200 and eight modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft.

It operates over 320 flights daily to 49 destinations across the country and beyond including London Heathrow, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo and Kathmandu.
