Yami Gautam is beaming with joy as she enters one of life’s most beautiful phases. The actress is all set for the arrival of her little one with her husband and filmmaker, Aditya Dhar. Yami Gautam recently expressed her desire for her baby to maintain a strong connection to the culture and traditions of their upbringing.
In an interview with DNA, Yami said, “I think as a parent you always want your child to grow up in the same traditions and rituals and customs that we did. At least Aditya and I would want that because it was very personal to every family.”
She further emphasised the significance of passing down these traditions to future generations. “So, for Holi, as I said, before playing we offer the first colour to our deity and then offer Prasad and then wish all the elders. I hope that in the future when our child or anybody from that future generation comes of age, they’re there able to enjoy it in the same spirit and essence and with that same innocence that we got to enjoy,” she added.
Yami Gautam and Aditya confirmed her pregnancy during the trailer launch of Article 370. “Our baby is on its way,” Aditya said as he interacted with the media. According to the reports, the baby is due in May 2024. During this event, Yami also shared her experience of filming the movie while expecting her first child with Aditya Dhar.
On the professional front, Yami Gautam has an exciting lineup of projects in her kitty. She is set to appear in director Rishab Seth’s upcoming action comedy film Dhoom Dhaam, alongside Pratik Gandhi and Mukul Chadda. The film centers on Veer Khurana and Koyal Chadda, a mismatched couple in an arranged marriage. Their wedding night takes an unexpected turn when a case of mistaken identity leads them to go on the run, searching for the mysterious person named Charlie.
