Abhishek Ambareesh shared that his mother has told him not to join the field as both cinema and politics are different.

Abhishek Ambareesh is gearing up for the release of his second film’s release, Bad Manners. The actor made his debut with Amar, which was directed by Nagashekhar. The actor is currently busy promoting the film in Hubli, North Karnataka. Abhishek was asked about joining politics in Hubli and said that he would not join politics anytime soon.

The actor shared that his mother has told him not to join the field as both cinema and politics are different. He added that people pay money to watch films but in politics, they give money to people. Therefore, Abhishek said that politics and cinemas cannot happen at the same time.

He also cited the example of his late father Malavalli Huche Gowda Amarnath who was known by his stage name Ambareesh, and said that his father was in the film industry for 34 years before he entered politics. Abhishek shared that he doesn’t interfere or participate in any inauguration or administration work related to politics. He is also present only if there is community service.

Notably, actor-turned-politician Ambareesh joined the field in 1994 where he was Lok Sabha MP and even served as Minister of State, in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting from 2006 to 2008. Her mother Sumalatha Ambareesh is a Lok Sabha MP from the Mandya constituency. She contested the election as a non-party candidate and during the campaigning, Abhishek Ambareesh had supported his mother extensively.

Earlier in an old press conference, Sumalatha Ambareesh had said, “Abhishek Ambareesh will not come to politics until am in politics. I will not go seeking a ticket or a position for him in any party. I have never done that and will not do in my life. Two political parties had com4e offering a ticket for Abhishek from Mandya or Maddur. But Abhishek did not agree to it. He simply said that he will work as a worker in the party, if at all he joins politics and he will not seek a ticket on my name or his father’s name.”

Coming back to Bad Manners, the film is directed by Duniya Suri. Abhishek and Suri have paid tribute to Ambareesh with the song Rebel Gift from Bad Manners. The film is dubbed as an actioner and also features Rachita Ram and Priyanka Kumar in the lead. The Sudhir KM-backed film is all set to hit the cinema on November 24. The day also coincides with the 4th anniversary of Ambareesh’s demise.
