Telugu actress Anusuya Bharadwaj has always had a love-hate relationship with internet users. While she has a significant fan following, she also has haters who leave no opportunity to body shame and troll her on various occasions. Unlike most celebrities who decide to simply ignore the trolls, Anusuya is not the one to take such things lightly. She does not mince her words, while giving it back to trolls. In the past year, #AnusuyaAunty had been started by trolls, who trended it on social media. She was body shamed and called “aunty” on social media.

Last year, Anusuya had issued a warning to trolls who were calling her “aunty” and had threatened to take legal action against them. She had said that she would take the case to a point where the trolls would regret. Now, in a recent interview, she has addressed the issue again and spoken about how the trolling affects her.

Anusuya has said that she has no problem with the word ‘aunty’ in general. “The word aunty is not wrong. It is good when small children and acquaintances come to me and call me aunty. But when people my age are calling me aunty, it’s different. I don’t like it,” she said. Anusuya Bharadwaj posed the question as to what sadistic pleasure the trolls get from hurting sentiments and whether they would do the same if they met her face to face.

Anusuya Bharadwaj also wondered that if they had so much disrespect for a woman they do not know personally, what would be the plight of women around these trolls. She even said that such trolls had the possibility of becoming sexual offenders.

This is not the first time we have had a dash of Anusuya’s unabashedness. When the film Liger failed miserably last year, she had tweeted that people who call mothers derogatory names are suffering the consequences and that karma has done its part. She indirectly referred to Vijay Deverakonda’s swear words at an Arjun Reddy event many years ago.
