Vistara: Flight From Pune To Singapore To Operate Six Days A Week
Vistara is gearing up to expand its flight operations to six days a week from Pune to Singapore starting on December 15.

While most Indians prefer to travel by road or rail, the country has witnessed an unprecedented expansion in its aviation industry too.

Over the years, India has been racing to make air travel bigger. As per reports, no other country in the world is buying as many aeroplanes as India, and with this positive development, there is another good news waiting for flyers from Pune to Singapore.

Vistara is gearing up to expand its flight operations to six days a week from Pune to Singapore starting December 15. Presently, the airline, which is one of the two direct international connections from Pune, runs four flights a week on the Pune-Singapore route. It will now fly from Monday to Friday and on Sunday.

During a conversation with Pune Pulse, Pune Airport Director, Santosh Dhoke said “The Pune-Singapore Vistara flight will fly for 6 days in a week. This will take place mostly from mid-December. Other details of the flight will be out soon.”

Leader of the Pune Platform for Collaborative Response (PPCR), Dr Sudhir Mehta took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to update about the positive development. He tweeted “Pune-Singapore Flight is now six days a week. Having received all permissions, Vistara will operate the PNQ-SIN flight six days a week from December 15. Responding to the growing demand and success, we’ve been urging to increase the frequency of this vital route for both recreational and business travelers from Pune.”

“A big thank you on behalf of all Punekars to Honorable Min JM_Scindia ji, Vinod Kannan CEO air Vistara, Pune airport Director and the Indian AirForce for their support in enhancing international connectivity to and for Pune region,” he added.

Earlier, Leader of the Pune Platform for Collaborative Response (PPCR), Dr Sudhir Mehta took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and tweeted, “The Pune-Singapore flight may become daily from December. Colleagues in the industry and PPCR have observed the immense benefits of the Pune Singapore flight for both recreational and business travelers, particularly due to the ease and flexibility of connecting to the east.”

“Air Vistara has positively responded and applied for the necessary approvals, and subject to the same, this flight could become daily soon. Thanks to the senior team at Vistara for their support in enhancing international connectivity to and for Pune,” Dr Mehta concluded.

However, a formal statement from the airline is yet to be released.
