Tata Motors had a very hectic schedule in 2023—particularly in the second half—and it appears that they will continue to be so in 2024.
The Indian carmaker intends to strategically expand its wide range of vehicles by introducing seven new models in the next year. Highlights include three electric vehicles (EVs) and the highly anticipated Tata Curvv, a compact SUV with a coupe design.
The specifics of each model are provided below, revealing the fascinating opportunities Tata has in store for car lovers.
Tata Curvv
Tata has previously stated that the SUV coupe based on the Curvv concept will be available with all three types of powertrains: diesel, petrol, and all-electric. The new Tata Motors midsize SUV coupe, which shares its design with the Curvv concept, will be positioned in the lineup between the Nexon and Harrier. The production model of the Tata Curvv will receive the brand’s new 1.2-liter, 125 PS turbocharged petrol engine in addition to the 1.5-liter diesel and all-electric drivetrain from the Nexon and Nexon EV long range, respectively. There will be just as many gearbox options available as with the Nexon.

Tata Curvv EV
The Curvv EV boasts features similar to the new Nexon EV, such as a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, touch-based climate control, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Tata expects a claimed range of more than 500 km with multiple battery pack options and improved performance over the Nexon EV. The expected launch date is March 2024, with a price of around Rs 20 lakh.
Tata Punch EV
Tata Motors has been testing the Punch EV, which was spotted on trial runs earlier this year. In the first half of 2024, the carmaker will release the Punch EV. It will have EV-specific design elements such as blue inserts and a closed grille, as well as features such as LED headlamps, a sunroof, a full-TFT instrument console, all-wheel disc brakes, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Tata Punch EV, which will be launched in the price range of Rs 12-15 lakh, will compete directly with the Citroen eC3.
Tata Harrier EV
The Tata Harrier EV was shown in production-ready form at the Auto Expo 2023, and if reports are true, the all-electric midsize EV will hit the Indian car market ahead of the festive season in 2024. The new Tata Harrier EV, like the Nexon EV, will feature EV-specific design elements while sharing the base exterior, interior, and equipment list with the recently launched diesel-powered Harrier.
Tata Nexon Dark
Despite the recent release of the facelifted Tata Nexon, the Dark edition, which is similar to its pre-facelift counterpart, has yet to be revealed. The Nexon Dark, which is set to arrive in 2024, is expected to reintroduce familiar elements such as black alloy wheels, distinctive ‘Dark’ badges, an all-black interior, and a powertrain configuration similar to the base variant.
Tata Altroz Facelift
Since its 2019 launch, the Tata Altroz premium hatchback has hardly changed. But Tata Motors is going to give the Altroz hatchback a thorough makeover. This update will include new features like a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a full-TFT instrument console, as well as modifications to the hatchback’s exterior and interior. With the modifications expected to make it an even more attractive alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20, the redesigned Tata Altroz is expected to keep its petrol and diesel engine options.

Tata Altroz Racer
The Tata Altroz Racer, a more aggressive take on the standard Altroz hatchback, made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023. This model is expected to have several new features that are available in the updated Nexon due to cosmetic improvements both inside and out.
