After making everyone wait, Renault finally broke the cover from the latest SUV Symbioz Globally. It has been reported that the model has been built on the company’s top-selling product Duster’s platform, featuring some cutting-edge technology and a long list of advanced features.
The vehicle has been introduced to cater customers with large families, providing them with more space, and comfortable seating with practicality. The newly revealed Symbioz gets a petrol-hybrid powertrain and will be positioned between the larger Austral SUV and the smaller Captur SUV.
Overall Size
Talking about the overall size first, the Symbioz is 1,797mm wide, 4,413mm long, and 1,575mm high. The SUV has been given an aggressive stance from the outside, featuring a sharply installed LED headlight setup, and eye-catching Day Running Light (DRLs), flaunting the company’s diagonal-shaped new badge at the front grill.
The SUV also gets 18-inch stylish alloy wheels, while the top model has been treated with 19 inches. When it comes to the rear profile, again, LED treatment is there with big badging of Symbioz at the centre.
Interior Details
Jumping inside the cabin, the four-wheeler has received the same dashboard as the Captur, and has a portrait-oriented 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is supported by all car connect technology including wireless Android, Apple, and Auto Carplay.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, it will be powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The unit is paired with a multimodal automatic transmission, offering dual electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery setup on board. It releases an overall total output of 144 bhp.
Competitor
Once launched, it will directly compete against the Nissan Qashqai SUV.
