Mercedes EQS SUV Arrived in Indian Market at Rs 1.41 crore, Offers 800 Plus Range on Single Charge
This is the 6th model from the electric lineup after EQB, EQE, Maybach EQS, EQA, and EQS. It reached the Indian shore right after the launch of Maybach EQS 680.

In a move to boost the electric lineup in India, the leading German car maker Mercede-Benz has added one more model in the EV segment called EQS. It has been released in the market with a price tag of Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom).

This is the 6th model from the electric lineup after EQB, EQE, Maybach EQS, EQA, and EQS. It reached the Indian shore right after the successful launch of the Maybach EQS 680. Interested customers either can book the EV by visiting the company’s authorised dealership or online via Mercedes-Benz’s official website.

Locally Assembled

It has been reported that the company has assembled the vehicle locally at its facility in Pune. This somehow contributes to lowering its overall price range. However, the all-new EQS 580 still costs Rs 2 lakh more compared to the EQE SUV.

Design and Road Presence

Talking about the design language, the latest offering from Mercedes-Benz India shares a lot of similarities with the Maybach EQS 680. It features a similar signature style piano black grille at the front, featuring a fully LED headlight setup, paired with impressive DRLs and a trending LED light strip on the front fascia.

The connected light setup also has been given at the back as well, which makes it look the most good looking model in its segment. It is safe to call it the electrified version of GLS. However, it is shorter, wider, and lower compared to the GLS.

Interior

Jumping inside the cabin, EQS 580 has been treated with the robust MBUX Hyperscreen, which combines both a fully digital instrument cluster, and an infotainment system with all the wireless car connect technology and an impressive size display for the front passenger.

It comes with a 7-seating configuration, offering the customers an option to replace the last row with captain seats. The other notable features include ventilated front seats, a Burmester 3D Surround sound system, air suspension with adjustable damping and powered thigh support.

Battery and Range

The EQS uses a 122 kWh battery pack that offers an impressive range of 809 km on a single charge. As far as the far is concerned it churns out a maximum of 536 bhp and 858 Nm of torque.
