Jeep India recently unveiled the first made-in-India Jeep ever, the Compass compact SUV. The SUV will be exported to all the right-hand drive countries from India itself and the launch is imminent in a couple of weeks from now. But before the launch can happen, Jeep has already started to make a lot of noise in the market.

Jeep India took on to Twitter to express their happiness on recording more than 1000 bookings in just 3 days of opening of bookings. Jeep recently opened the official bookings of the Compass SUV at an amount Rs 50000, while some dealers unofficially accepted bookings for Rs 1 lakh.
Jeep is accepting the bookings through the company’s authorized dealerships or via the official Jeep India website. Jeep Compass will be manufactured at the company’s Ranjangaon, Pune based production facility and it will be available in three trim levels: Sport, Longitude and Limited.Jeep to launch for a price of Rs 18 lakhs!
The Jeep Compass will be available with two engine options: a 1.4-litre Multi-air petrol engine with 160+ hp and 250 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 170+ hp and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a six speed manual transmission and a seven speed DCT automatic transmission.
