In a move to boost the tourism and employment rate in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has formed the Inland Water Authority to give a kickstart to waterway services in rivers like Saryu, Rapti, Yamuna, and Ganga.
It has been stated in an official release the move will not just promote cruise services, but also help the state in many ways. It will also generate employment on a large scale for the public.
Here’s What UP CM Says About Waterway Service
As per the details shared by the News Mills, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while inaugurating the Queen Lake Cruise service in Gorakhpur’s Ramgarh Tal lake said, “In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the development of tourism facilities is underway in the state. Roads are being transformed from two lanes to four lanes, six lanes, eight lanes, and twelve lanes. Uttar Pradesh also boasts excellent rail and air connectivity.”
Gift for Gorakhpur People
While speaking at the event, UP CM said, the Gorakhpur public has received the most advanced and tech-loaded gift in the form modern cruise, which is powered by modern facilities. He also gave most of the credit to the local workers, who worked hard to make the cruise into reality.
He also mentioned PM Narendra Modi in his speech, giving him special thanks for fixing the state, which used to be referred as landlocked.
Lake Queen Cruise Cost
Talking about the project, reports say over Rs 12 crore has been invested for creating Lake Queen Cruise. To provide a better service on board, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, along with five-star hotel-level amenities have been included.
The Cruise has three halls that can accommodate 150 people. It also has a highly customized stateroom, providing a notch-service to the guests.
