GoMechanic Gears Up For Electric Future With 100 EV Workshops By 2025
Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari recently predicted that annual EV sales in India will hit 1 crore by 2030, creating a massive market worth Rs 20 lakh crore.

As India gets ready for a big jump in electric vehicle (EV) sales, GoMechanic is stepping up to become a key player in EV servicing.

The company will open EV-specific workshops in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad to meet the growing demand for electric cars.

Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari recently announced that India’s annual EV sales could hit 1 crore by 2030, creating a massive market worth Rs 20 lakh crore. With government support through the upcoming third phase of the FAME scheme, GoMechanic is on track to expand its network of EV service centers to help both individual owners and fleet operators.

By March 2025, GoMechanic plans to launch 100 EV-focused workshops, with a goal to double that number by 2026. “Our workshops will feature advanced technology like real-time diagnostics and battery health monitoring to ensure top-notch service for EV owners,” said Muskan Kakkar.

With India aiming to be a global leader in automotive manufacturing, GoMechanic is incorporating cutting-edge tech, including telematics and IoT diagnostics. This will allow for predictive maintenance and real-time monitoring of EV health, crucial for keeping vehicles running smoothly.

GoMechanic is already servicing major EV players like BluSmart and MoEVing, offering comprehensive solutions for their electric 3 and 4-wheelers. These partnerships are expected to grow as India’s homegrown EV market becomes a multi-crore opportunity, supported by initiatives like the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for battery manufacturing.

By extending the lifespan of EV components and minimizing waste, GoMechanic’s initiative aligns with India’s sustainability goals. The company aims to reduce energy consumption and emissions in the transportation sector while servicing a large number of EVs.

Himanshu Arora, co-founder of GoMechanic, envisions servicing 10,000 EVs by March 2025. “We aim to become a trusted partner for both fleet operators and individual EV owners, providing cost-effective and efficient solutions,” he said.

As India strives to become the world’s largest automotive hub, GoMechanic is well-positioned to lead the EV servicing market, supporting the country’s vision for a sustainable, green future.
