Dwarka Expressway: Key Underpass to Benefit Commuters By June End, Check Details
Official says the authority is giving final touch to the project, making it ready for trials by end of June. Once the trial is done, the underpass will be opened for the use by June 30.

To offer better connectivity and reduce traffic congestion on the road, a key underpass has been created on the Dwarka expressway. The route, which will connect the Basai road over the bridge with sectors 102 and 102A, is all set to kickstart for public use at the end of June 2024.

As per the details shared by HT, officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have confirmed the news. He said the project has reached its final stage and is almost ready to be used.

It has been reported that the project has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore. Talking about the measurement, it is 584 meters in length, featuring four lanes to offer a seamless travel expirence to the commuters on both sides.

Overall Connectivity

The under-construction passage will offer connectivity to Hero Honda Chowk from both sides of the expressway, offering easy acess to multiple sectors on the western side including 102A, 102, 106, 103, Basai, Kherki Majra, and Dhankot other nearby areas.

It also has been claimed that once operations will start, the project will contribute to easing the traffic from Hero Honda Chowk to multiple residential areas on the site.

Future Plans

According to a senior GMDA official, it has been informed that the underpass will eventually connect to a projected road from Sector 102-102A to AIIMS in Bhadsa village in Jhajjar. this will allow the Gurugram residents to reach the hospital effortlessly.

The PWD department will construct the road, which will travel through Gurugram’s Mankdola, Budhera, Dhankot, and Kherki Majra villages. He added that the land acquisition process had already begun.
