Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all geared up to inaugurate the priority section of India’s Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor on October 20.

Furthermore, the corridors will open their doors to passengers starting from October 21.

Delhi-Meerut RRTS: Ticket Price List

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has just revealed the fare details for the route from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot. For Standard Class travelers, ticket prices are incredibly reasonable, ranging from just Rs 20 to Rs 50. And for those looking to add a touch of luxury to their journey, Premium Class tickets for the Rapidx trains are available for just Rs 100. Even the little ones, with a height of under 90 cm, get to travel absolutely free! The Premium Class tickets vary in price from Rs 40 to Rs 100, depending on the distance between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot.

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, has applauded Prime Minister Modi’s visionary approach to launching the priority section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS. He tweeted, “From BRTS to RRTS. Rarely has the world seen such a leader who places so much importance on improving Urban Mobility for the poor and the common man.”

The priority section, which includes five stations like Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot, promises a smooth and rapid transit experience. The segment from Duhai to Duhai Depot is like a special bonus from the main corridor.

Ensuring a seamless and convenient ticketing experience, the NCRTC has installed Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-enabled ticket vending machines (TVMs). These TVMs allow passengers to purchase paper QR code-based tickets and recharge their National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). With various payment options available, including bank notes, bank cards, National Common Mobility Cards, and UPI, buying tickets has never been easier.

The RRTS Corridor, currently under construction, will provide a semi-high-speed regional rail service named ‘RAPIDX.’ This monumental project is a joint venture between the Indian government and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. The NCRTC has been entrusted with overseeing the development of India’s very first RRTS, connecting Delhi and Meerut.
