TATA.ev stores launch in Gurugram, redefining EV shopping with sustainability, community focus, and tech. Tata Motors aims for an e-mobility revolution.

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has unveiled its TATA.ev stores in the bustling auto hubs of Sector 14 & Sohna Road, Gurugram.

Starting from January 07, 2024, these stores are dedicated exclusively to EV customers.

As electric cars gain traction in India, the expectations of EV owners are changing. They want top-notch tech, eco-friendly practices, and personalized services. TPEM’s new brand, TATA.ev, brings this shift to life with its first physical stores.

Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales, and Service Strategy at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., highlighted, “Every aspect of the in-store experience has been reimagined at TATA.ev stores. Digital, physical, and human elements come together in harmony to deliver a uniquely memorable car-buying experience, with moments of authentic surprise to delight our community at every step along the way. Recognising the very different expectations of EV buyers, the in-store experience has been designed to offer information, advice, and guidance in a friendly environment. While we use the power of technology to elevate the experience, the human touch remains ever-important. From new retail roles to passionate individuals immersed in the essence of our brand, our home of electric has been designed to be warm and welcoming, friendly and fun.”

Tata.ev Stores: All You Need to Know

The TATA.ev stores are designed around the principles of sustainability, community, and technology, reflecting the core philosophy of ‘Move with Meaning.’ These showrooms aim to provide an inviting and immersive space for the EV community, embodying a commitment to positive change in the automotive industry.

The flagship showrooms not only serve as retail spaces for EVs but also act as TATA.ev community centers in Gurugram. The company plans to create a harmonious community space for customer gatherings, sustainability-focused workshops, and special events.

  • Sustainability takes center stage at these showrooms – from design to construction and daily operations. Recycled or recyclable materials dominate, some certified by global green authorities. Locally sourced materials cut down emissions from long-distance transportation during construction.
  • Community engagement is another key aspect of the TATA.ev store design, inviting visitors not only to buy Tata EVs but also to share moments, connect with fellow EV enthusiasts, and participate in events listed in the EVOLVE community calendar.
  • The third aspect is technology. The store smartly integrates digital elements without overwhelming visitors. Screens offer owner testimonials, tackle EV myths, and personalize welcomes for families picking up their EVs.

With a market share of over 71 percent in the 4-wheeler EV segment and having recently sold 1 lakh Tata EVs, TPEM is actively shaping the future of mobility. The company aims to set new EV standards, focusing on connectivity, design, performance, and safety. TPEM is reshaping transportation, championing community, sustainability, and tech.
