'Just Carnival Time in Brazil': Douglas Luiz's Sarcastic Reponse to Rio Ferdinand After Loss to Manchester United
Douglas Luiz responded to Rio Ferdinand's tweet after Aston Villa's loss to Manchester United in the Premier League.

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand was surprised by Douglas Luiz’s antics after the midfielder scored in the home fixture against Manchester United on Sunday. However, the Brazillian responded to him on X with an interesting tweet.

After scoring the goal in the 67th minute to level the score 1-1, the central midfielder looked to troll the United keeper, Andre Onana with a cheeky celebration right in front of the Cameroonian.

Reacting to the celebration, the former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand took to X where he asked Luiz, “U ok?”

The celebration was shortlived as Manchester United found the winner thanks to the strike from Scott McTominay who came off the bench to score the winner.

After the goal was scored, the striker Rasmus Hojlund broke into an emphatic celebration with Scott McTominay and other Manchester United players on the sidelines. The Danish striker was spotted putting his fingers over his nose, seemingly asking the home crowd to calm down. Luiz also pulled off an extravagant celebration after scoring the equaliser. The Brazilian international was seen shimmying in front of the opposition defence and goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The Brazilian midfielder also responded to Ferdinand after the match. He said,” I’m good, thanks. It’s just carnival time in Brazil.”

Having joined Manchester United last summer, Rasmus Hojlund struggled to match the expectations during his early days at Old Trafford. The 21-year-old has now seemed to have started gaining momentum. Hojlund struck in the previous five consecutive matches for Manchester United. He will be looking to replicate the form when Manchester United take on Luton Town in an away Premier League game on February 18.
