The Israeli military on Sunday said that it had killed another high-ranking Hezbollah official in an airstrike. There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah on the same.
The military said on Sunday that it killed Nabil Kaouk, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Preventative Security Unit and a member of their Executive Council, in an airstrike the day before. The Israeli military alleged that Kaouk was close to Hezbollah’s senior commanders and was directly engaged in terrorist attacks against Israel and its citizens.
He joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and was regarded as an important source of expertise in his field, having served as the Deputy Commander of the southern region on the Operational Council, Commander of the southern region and Deputy Commander of the Operational Council. The United States had announced sanctions against him in 2020.

Several senior Hezbollah commanders have been killed in Israeli strikes in recent weeks, including the group’s overall leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in Beirut on Friday.
The group has also been targeted by a sophisticated attack on its pagers and walkie-talkies, and Israel has carried out waves of airstrikes over the past week across large parts of Lebanon. Hezbollah has continued to fire hundreds of rockets and missiles into northern Israel, but most have been intercepted or fallen in open areas.
Nasrallah’s Body Recovered
The development comes after the Israeli military ‘eliminated’ Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an air strike on Lebanon’s Beirut on Friday night.
The strikes that killed Nasrallah on Friday targeted a densely populated area and destroyed residential buildings. Israel carried out more strikes Saturday on what it says are Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, killing at least 33 people and wounding 195, according to the country’s health ministry.
On Sunday, Nasrallah’s body was recovered from the bombed bunker in Beirut that was struck by the Israeli military. The body was intact, a medical source and a security source told Reuters.
