As the man hiked deeper through the unknown territory, he came across a strange opening.

Google Maps have made our travels incredibly convenient. Wherever we may choose to go in the world, that place can be found with a detailed view on Google Maps. An interesting video is grabbing the attention of netizens, which shows an influencer hiking to the ruins he saw on the app. The video was posted on Instagram, belonging to influencer and traveller Joshua McCartney. The clip starts with Joshua mentioning he found an unknown ruin on Google Earth, where he decided to take a hike. The Google Earth image showed a 3D depiction of the unlabeled ruins, looking like a sand building. When Joshua ventured into the valley for his hike, he found an ancient looking entrance, carved atop a big rock-like structure. It had no way to enter, so the hiker continued his path ahead. As he hiked deeper through the vegetation, he came across another strange opening. Initially, it seemed like a natural cave, but when he went inside, it looked manmade. He discovered carvings on the wall, seemingly created by humans.

After exploring the cave, he finally reached his real destination. According to him, it was a “massive tower” and its interiors were created from an “unusual brick pattern.” He ended the video with the question, “So, what do you think this place used to be?”

The caption on the post stated, “I found a massive ruin using Google Earth so went on a hiking adventure to explore it!” Netizens share their reaction in the comments below, excited at the possibility of an ancient discovery. The first user requested, “You really NEED to do a separate episode of the rock entrance on the cliff!” A second user stated, “Arranged in pattern to keep it from getting hot in the sun.” While a third netizen shared, “Maybe a bird tower. In the past, they used it to house homing pigeons.” And a fourth netizen asked, “Bro get inside that first rock entrance!”

What's your reaction?
