With the festival of Holi just around the corner, it seems like the little elephant is also in festive spirits, playing Holi in its own style with dust.

Shared on social media by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda, the video clip shows an adorable calf indulging in a playful dust bath, rolling around in the dirt and creating a cloud of dust around itself, much to the amusement of the onlookers. The baby elephant begins by kneeling down and playing with dust, only to later stand up and continue with the same. “Playing Holi in his style,” the caption read.

The happiness of the baby elephant as it indulges in a fun dust bath also caught the attention of social media users who showered love for the animal in the comment section. The video has also gained over 13,000 views with hundreds of likes and comments.

Baby elephant chases flock of birds

Notably, baby elephants are among the most playful little creatures in the wild. Another heartwarming video also captured the internet’s attention a few days back. Shared widely across social media handles, the heartening footage displays the playful spirit of the animal, showing a little elephant joyfully chasing a flock of birds.

During his chase, the calf accidentally stumbles. Despite the momentary halt, the resilient elephant swiftly regained its balance and returned to the safety of its mother side. While the video is a bit old, it continues to resurface on the internet time and again, thanks to the newborn elephant’s adorable antics.
