Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and to travel to its topmost floor is not for the faint-hearted. The building is a hub of luxury built with malls and shops, while the upper floors are living spaces. A video is making rounds on social media, which has captured the view from the top of the world’s tallest building, a sight many will not be able to even fathom.
Burj Khalifa stands at a height of 828 meters or 2,716.5 feet, so the sight from above is sure to send down shivers your spine. The video with that point of view was shared on Instagram by an account called @mdakib8879. The clip starts with an individual opening a balcony door, seemingly at the topmost floor of the building. The view that follows is a sight to witness at least once in your lifetime. Way below the floor, the viewers can see an expanse of greyish-white clouds, stretching over the city of Dubai. You can even spot some smaller buildings, built at the same height as the clouds below. The post is captioned in Hindi, which translates to, “Friends, Burj Khalifa is the world’s biggest destination and when I saw the view below from the top floor, I felt like this.”
Netizens react to the majestic video in the comment section below. The first user wrote, “If there were no clouds, I would be scared.” A second user stated, “This is such a high building.” While some questioned the authenticity of the clip, writing, “From where did so many clouds come in Dubai.” And a fourth netizen shared, “This is not an edit, it is real.” The post has gained over 138,000 likes and has garnered more than 3.3 million views on the platform so far.
The tallest building began its construction in 2004 and was completed by 2009. In 2010, Burj Khalifa was opened to the public. It is named after the second president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa.
