Thief Steals Cycle From Apartment, Mysteriously Returns It Two Days Later
A thief who stole a cycle from an apartment garage returned it two days later, with everything intact except for the missing cycle stand.

In a bizarre incident, a cycle that had been stolen from an apartment garage was mysteriously returned two days later, leaving its owner both puzzled and relieved. The cycle had been parked without a lock in the garage of an old apartment building where the owner’s friend lives. Although the area had always been safe and theft-free, the cycle went missing and was returned two days later.

The unusual story was shared by a Reddit user in the “Indiasocial” community, with the post titled, “Bike stolen for two days and returned back to the same spot. What a bizarre incident!”

The user recounted the timeline, explaining that the last time they saw the cycle was on Saturday at 4 pm before leaving for a dinner party. “On Saturday 4pm I last see the cycle before leaving home for a dinner party. While returning, I glanced at the garage again and saw that his cycle was stolen.”

“I really could not believe it and had this strong intuition that someone just took it for a ride and they will keep it back,” they further said, adding, “My friends called me stupid for thinking this and anyway he didn’t have a lock so we accepted that it was stolen.”

To their surprise, the intuition proved right when the cycle reappeared two days later. “But, today morning (Tuesday) I leave for work and there you go! The cycle is magically back again.”

After its return, they quickly moved the cycle inside their flat and locked it up to prevent any future theft.

The only thing missing was the cycle’s stand, which left them curious but not overly concerned. The user speculated that perhaps a nearby worker borrowed the cycle to get home and returned it when they no longer needed it.

“I am not willing to actually investigate this as it would involve talking to people from our society which I don’t want to do for other reasons,” they concluded.
