A woman from Scotland has grabbed the headlines after she revealed on social media that her friend has fixed a gift of more than Rs 1,00,000 to be brought to her wedding. According to a report published in The Sun, the woman revealed on social media the most difficult situation she is facing right now.
The Scotland woman said that she has left no stone unturned to raise the money for 3 years. However, she has not been able to collect the full amount in this period. This is one of the most testing times for the lady as she has to perform the duty of the bridesmaid at the venue and is essentially required to be present. A bridesmaid is a woman or girl who helps the bride on her wedding day. The lady added that her friend’s wedding is in a couple of days and she cannot afford such an expensive gift.
The situation is even more perplexing for this Scotland woman as the other bridesmaids can bear the extravagant expense of the wedding. She remains the only one amongst them who will not be able to pay for such a huge amount. She also has to incur expenses on her outfit and the other accessories which makes purchasing the gift of more than Rs 1,00,000 a tedious task for her.
The lady is in a fix and is not able to decide whether she should attend the wedding or not or what gift to give to the bride. The lady said that the bride lives outside the countryside and she is managing all the preparations for the wedding on her behalf. She has spent a sizeable portion of money on the wedding preparations from her side as well.
Besides spending on the wedding preparations, this Scotland lady has also spent money on the room decoration of the bride and her outfit as well. After incurring such a plethora of expenditures, this lady doesn’t find it right to purchase a lavish gift for her friend as well. Social media users expressed displeasure at this scenario and said that her friend shouldn’t have asked for such an expensive gift.
