Most people know the feeling when, after a long day, they finally go to bed but can’t fall asleep because of the constantly buzzing mosquitoes. Well, now imagine a mosquito sending out a tweet. Strange right? Recently, a content creator shared a hilarious joke about how a mosquito would tweet about a wish of finding all the windows and doors open in a house. The intended joke surely hit the right chords and netizens shared their struggles with this small creature.
A user named Bob shared a post on X with a picture of a mosquito on a keyboard. It appeared that the insect was using the keyboard to input the letter “V”. The caption read, “The mosquito sending this tweet.” The post had an attached tweet that featured a stunning, picturesque view from inside a house with the window left wide open. The caption read, “Having doors that open this wide is the best thing ever on a nice day.” Together, Bob made it appear as if the mosquito is wishing for the doors and windows to be open all the time.

The post went viral in no time and has about 4 million views. A user reacted, saying, “This joke would’ve been funnier without the caption.”
Another person recalled, “There was a wasp in my house last night and I have no idea how. At least with the door open I would know where all the bugs came from…” On the other hand, one user stated, “The mosquito will come in then act like he’s trapped.”

Meanwhile, some time back, residents of the Kharadi district in Maharashtra’s Pune were taken aback when they saw what appeared to be a ‘mosquito tornado’ across a river. In a video shared on social media, swarms of mosquitoes were observed forming a vortex over the Mutha River in Kharadi, which was covered in hyacinths.
The video was widely re-shared by netizens, some of whom expressed surprise at the unusual situation and demanded action from authorities. Many people urged that water hyacinths, which bloom in bulbous clusters in a thick layer over the water and totally invade the surface, be removed. Needless to say, the concern around mosquitoes and the fatal illnesses they bring have consistently been a cause of concern in the country.
