Google CEO Sundar Pichai Has This To Say About Aamir Khan's Epic Motor Description Scene In 3 Idiots

Popular content creator Varun Mayya recently conducted an in-person interview with Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Interestingly, Pichai made a notable reference to a scene from Aamir Khan’s movie 3 Idiots during the conversation. While the full interview is yet to be published on YouTube, Varun gave his followers a sneak peek by sharing a snippet from the interview on his Instagram feed.

It all started when Varun asked Sundar if he was aware that an entire industry in India is dedicated to helping young Indians crack FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google) interviews. Varun added, “How do you get out of the competitive exam mindset with all these shifts?”

Sundar responded thoughtfully, emphasising the importance of deeper understanding rather than just memorising facts. He said, “I think real success comes from understanding things in a deeper way.”

He then referred to a memorable scene from the movie 3 idiots, where Aamir Khan’s character is asked to define a motor. He highlighted the difference between merely describing what motor is and truly understanding its workings.

“Almost tempted to go back to the movie 3 Idiots or something like that. And like, there’s a scene in there, when they ask Aamir Khan the definition of motor. And like there’s a version which describes what a motor is. And there’s a version where you actually understand what a motor is,” he added.
