But imagine the disappointment you will feel when as a wedding guest u manage and adjust everything to attend a function and the bride and the groom run off for their ceremony. In a significant bid, a woman has shared her experience of utter embarrassment on Reddit after her brother skipped his wedding reception without letting anyone know.
The groom’s sister described the whole incident and said that no one except one of the couple’s friends knew that the duo had planned something like this. As she mentioned, her brother and his wife were about to be introduced to everyone, when the couple’s friend announced to the guests that the newlyweds had left for their honeymoon.
After explaining the incident, she said, “No one even knew they were going to do it except for one of their friends so it was a complete surprise and embarrassing, to be honest”, Mirror reported.
The duo planned to leave for their honeymoon and were on their way to Bristol Airport when their friend announced their plan. The sister further added, “Obviously we were embarrassed. My parents were angry and they talked to the friend because my brother and his wife weren’t answering. Their honeymoon was supposed to be in a few months. They cancelled it two weeks ago and switched to a different honeymoon.”
Meanwhile, the groom’s sister also mentioned that her other brother and his girlfriend are expecting a baby soon. At the reception ceremony, the unmarried couple were about to announce their wedding date as well.
