An 84-year-old woman from Somerset, England, named Iris Jones stirred the headlines after marrying an Egyptian man who is much younger than her. His name is Mohamed Ibrahim. Ibrahim was then in his mid 30’s. According to The Sun website, she is now separated from him and has also issued a warning to the single people dating online. Iris has warned that single people should be aware of scammers and con-artists on dating websites. Both first met on Facebook in June 2019. She even went to Cairo, Egypt to meet him. They struck a bond and then tied the nuptial knot in the following year. The 84-year-old was candid about their bedroom antics as well in an interview as well in a British television program, This Morning. The then presenters of the program Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield were left in splits watching Iris get so candid about her personal life. .

Things, however, changed in 2023 when Iris But declared that the pair were going their separate ways. The woman even went to call him evil and a sewer rat explaining that she “replaced him with a cat”. This led to a war of words with Mohamed claiming that she had used him as a sex slave. In reply, Iris called him the Prince of Darkness. The downfall of their relationship came after the London woman claimed she had been footing the bill for Mohamed’s debts and lending him large amounts of cash.

Now, Iris, a pensioner has shared her advice on Facebook: “A warning to all vulnerable women online, chatting to scammers and con-artists, thinking they are messaging genuine males on legitimate dating sites.” According to the pensioner, women should be aware that scammers and con-artists are only interested in stealing their money. She further wrote that they will sweet-talk to the women for weeks and even months to achieve their goals.

Irish claimed that she has been targeted by four scammers in the last few months and as a result, now regards herself as a “competent scam hunter”.
